Moore Township: Protection board to meet Oct. 14

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board next meets 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at the township municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

The recreation committee’s next meeting is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the recreation center, 635 English Road. The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families.

The committee is providing an opportunity to purchase a brick for the veterans memorial at the recreation center. Visit donate.brickmarkers.com/moore to donate or for information how to order a memorial brick.

Moore Township Lioness-Lions Club is planning its fall penny party Oct. 27 at Klecknersville Fire Company Social Hall, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and the game begins 1 p.m. All ages are welcome.

There will also be a Thanksgiving basket raffle, door prizes and a tricky tray. Bring your own pennies or purchase pennies at the event.

Food is available for purchase and includes homemade baked goods.

The board of supervisors meets 6 p.m. Nov. 12 at the municipal building.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company. Doors open 5 p.m.

The night includes prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank and wash line bingo.

Moore Township’s new committee — Americans With Disabilities Act Committee — needs three members to serve one-year terms.

The township is looking to fill a vacancy on the historical commission. The role is for a five-year term.

Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Moorestown, hosts a Boy Scout Troop 74 meeting 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the social hall. Boy Scouts are for boys and girls 10 years old and up.
