Coplay Whitehall Sewer Authority discusses ongoing projects

The Sept. 19 meeting of Coplay Whitehall Sewer Authority, held at the CWSA building on MacArthur Road, was very brief. No one addressed the board, and no new or old business was brought up.

Secretary Paul Geissinger questioned the status of the newly installed monitoring system at the Eberhart Road pumping station. There are not any new results available yet, but they will be available soon.

General Manager Matt Harleman spoke about last month’s meeting when Kevin Fogerty, of the Waterfront Development Group, was in attendance to resolve the letter of credit issue. The board voted to do the final release of the letter with the stipulation the easement be recorded.

In other news, Harleman also commented on the ongoing Kline’s Island sewer system project and this month’s 60-page report distributed to the board. Harleman asked the board to keep up with the report details as there is a lot of new information coming each month.

Harleman thanked the board members who attended the September Pennsylvania Municipality Authorities Association conference.

Vice Chairman Paul Boyle also thanked Harleman for his outstanding work.

Additionally, a vote was taken on the PMRS Plan Amendment — Resolution 384. Values were adjusted in the new plan, and the vote was carried.
