Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

SEPT. 18

Drivers were cited for speeding during traffic stops at North Second and Hokendauqua streets, North Second and Chestnut streets and North Front and North streets.

A security check was conducted in the 100 block of South Second Street.

Police assisted a citizen in the 300 block of Cherry Street.

A male was taken into custody after officers conducted a warrant service in the unit block of South Second Street.

Officers attempted to serve a protection-from-abuse order in the 100 block of South Front Street.

A motor vehicle accident brought police to the 1000 block of Chestnut Street.

SEPT. 20

Police assisted a citizen in the 900 block of Oak Street.

SEPT. 21

Officers were on the scene of a reported domestic disturbance in the unit block of North Second Street.

A noise complaint in the unit block of North Front Street was investigated.

A report of suspicious activity brought police to the unit block of North Second Street.

SEPT. 22

Officers stopped a juvenile who was riding an illegal street bike at Chestnut and Maple streets.

A report of suspicious activity brought police to the unit block of North Front Street.

Drivers were cited during traffic stops at East Ninth and Main streets for speeding and at South Second and Hokendauqua streets for failing to stop at a stop sign.

The department assisted Whitehall police in the 3000 block of North Second Street.

SEPT. 23

Officers responded to a report of a wanted person at the district court office on Crescent Court East, Whitehall. The male was taken into custody and transported to Lehigh County Jail for retail theft.

Police investigated a report of a lost dog in the 100 block of South Sixth Street.

A loose dog in the area of South Seventh and Coplay streets was captured and reunited with its owner.

A parking complaint brought police to the unit block of North Second Street.

Security checks were conducted on South Second and South Fifth streets and in the area of Coplay Street and Bird Alley.

Officers investigated a report of threats in the unit block of South Fourth Street.

A security check brought police to the unit block of South Fifth Street.

SEPT. 27

Police were on the scene of a reported neighbor dispute in the 100 block of South Ninth Street.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police in locating a hit-and-run suspect in the 700 block of Third Street, Catasauqua.

SEPT. 28

A suspicious vehicle report brought police to the 200 block of Chestnut Street.

Officers joined Northampton police in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue, Northampton, for a reported assault that occurred on the Coplay-Northampton Bridge.
