Congratulations to the Catasauqua Middle School Roughies for the Month for October. The honored students are Zakiri Rivera, fifth grade; Kayla Smith, sixth grade; Daneirys Ortiz Malave, seventh grade; Joseph Araujo Shade, eighth grade; and Kaylynn Altreche, related arts.

Red Ribbon Week is set for Oct. 21-25, with themed days all week.

• Oct. 21: crazy sock day

• Oct. 22: team logo day

• Oct. 23: dress like your future successful self

• Oct. 24: dress like a celebrity

• Oct. 25: Boo Bash

Students are allowed to wear Halloween costumes Oct. 25. Items not acceptable include face coverings, masks and look-alike weapons.
