Barry L. Spitko, 76, of Whitehall, died Oct. 2, 2024, at home. He was the husband of Bernadine Mary Spitko for 27 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Emil and Mary (Elchook) Spitko.

He was a graduate of Whitehall High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.

He retired from LaFarge Cement Company as a production journeyman with 35 years of service.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Janice Foster and Karen Lederach; a son, Erik; a daughter, Jill Osborne; three stepchildren, Chris Tretter and Barry and David Beitler; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home Inc., Whitehall.
