Join Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor on November 10 for a race weekend to remember! St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest is bringing a full marathon back to the Lehigh Valley and hosting a marathon relay, half marathon run, and half marathon walk all on the same day. Experience the joy of Special Olympics as a coach for our Volleyball team! The primary responsibility of a head coach is to teach the skills and instill the spirit that defines a true athlete; they are role models and character builders. Volleyball knowledge/experience is helpful, but coach training available. Volleyball practice starts in September and runs until November and takes place 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in Whitehall. The Center For Animal Health & Welfare, Easton, can take up to 2 volunteers per shift to help get the dog area ready for the day. Shifts are 8:30-10:30 a.m. & 1-3 p.m. daily. Please help support our staff by cleaning our main/lower kennels. Also includes laundry, restocking, and dish washing. Join The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield for the Open Gate Farm Tour between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on October 20 to help with many areas, including, set up, visitor parking, bake sale table, food & beverage tables, ‘gate keeper’ for animal stalls, and breakdown after the event at 5PM. Activities include welcoming families, checking required documentation and filling out applications to assist families in getting their children (12 years & under) toys/gifts for Christmas.
