Mary Theresa Reisteter, 97, of Bethlehem, died Sept. 30, 2024, at Arden Courts, Allentown. Born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Mary E. (Mock) Mital. She was the wife of the late George Francis Reisteter.

She was first a bookkeeper for Leslie Fay dress company. She then worked for the former Union Bank and Trust Company, Bethlehem. She worked in sales for M&M Mars candy and was known as “Mary, from Mars”.

She was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and was an Eucharistic Minister. She procured and distributed the Oplatki (Christmas wafers) for several years.

She was a Cub Scout leader for many years.

She is survived by four sons: Jim (Barbara) of Polson, Montana; Joel of Bethlehem, Dan (Lisa) of Mechanicsburg and Dave (Tiffany) of Boone, North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Joel, Matthew, Elizabeth, Jack and Jenna.

She was predeceased by three siblings, Joseph Mital, John Mital and Geraldine “Gerry” Niemenski.
