The Catasauqua girls soccer team was a 2-1 winner over Pen Argyl.

Catty beat Pen Argyl for their second consecutive victory last Tuesday night after beating Jim Thorpe 1-0 on Monday night. In the 2-1 win, Faith Daku scored her 7th goal of the season and Mia Gomes netted her fourth. Brooke Barna made 4 saves bringing her total on the year to 61 saves.

The boys soccer team was a 3-0 winner over Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg.

Catasauqua goals were scored by Jonathan Cordon Pinto, Alexander Strohl and Osmar Ferre. Assists were tallied by Jayden Olivencia.

Catty would fall to Pen Argyl 4-2 but no other information was available.

Northwestern was a 3-0 winner over Catty in volleyball.

For the Tigers, Shannon Green had 16 assists and 5 aces while Norah Silfies had 8 kills.

Catty field hockey fell to Lehighton 3-2 and also lost to Northwestern 6-0.

In girls cross country, Catty dropped meets to Lehighton, Southern Lehigh, Palmerton and Northern Lehigh while beating Salisbury, Northwestern and Jim Thorpe.

The previous Lehighton course record holder was Lucy Scheidel from Blue Mountain with a 22:11 set in 2023, but that time was broken by five runners.

Rosalia Nestor is now the new course record holder with a time of 20:22.17, representing Northwestern. The current course was established in 2022.

For Catty, Shakala Roberts was 33rd in 29:41.91. Nhi Thai took 35th in 30:00.74 and Kaylin Stewart was 42nd in 34:21.82.

In the boys race, the previous course record was held by Jude Scheidel from Blue Mountain with 18:00 set in 2023, but three athletes broke that time. Connor Hibell Palmerton is now the course record holder with a time of 16:49.98.

For Catty, Evan Reed finished 16th with a time of 19:37.44.
