While the day may be a few weeks away, there are plenty of ghosts and goblins getting ready for Trick or Treat Night on Oct. 26.
Choose a reflective costume, look both ways when crossing the street, drive safely and inspect all treats!

Northwestern Lehigh Educational Fund will have its annual Sporting Clay shoot at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, 2750 Limestone St, Coplay, 8 a.m. Oct. 20.
Registration at the door or online. Four-person teams breakfast and lunch provided.

Lynn Heidelberg Historical Society, New Tripoli, is sponsoring Pioneer Apple Festival 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Ontelaunee Park.
Everyone is invited to join in this day of family oriented historical demonstrations, fun and food.
Attention bakers: There will an apple pie baking contest with cash prizes awarded for first through third place.

Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli is hosting an oyster supper 3-6:30 p.m. Nov. 2.

Menu includes: oyster pies, oyster stew, fried oyster platter, fried shrimp platter, and a combo platter.
All platters include baked potato (takeout only) french fries (eat-in only) and pepper cabbage.
Additional fried oysters, turkey barbecue, and whole pies — apple, blueberry, cherry, lemon strip and coconut cream are also available.
