Harriers travel to PMW

Bethlehem Catholic, Freedom, and Liberty’s cross country teams traveled to Pocono Mountain West for their third conference meet of the season where West’s course produced fast times for the Bethlehem harriers on Sept. 24.

Freedom’s Dylan Boyle took top honors in the boys race with a time of 15:50, followed by brother and teammate Brayden Boyle whose time was 16:20.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Mekhi Britt finished in third place with a time of 16:24.

Freedom’s Ryan Haas came in fifth in 17:19, and Liberty’s Ethan Caine was sixth in 17:22.

Liberty’s Joshua Cazares took seventh place in 17:27, and Freedom’s Eric Wu came in eighth in 17:55.

In team scores, Liberty’s boys topped Pleasant Valley, 24-25, Pocono Mountain East, 22-37, and Pocono Mountain West, 15-50.

Freedom’s boys won against Pleasant Valley, 19-41, East, 17-41, and West, 15-50.

Becahi defeated Pleasant Valley, 27-28, and West, 15-50, but lost to East, 24-31.

Liberty’s Katie Drabouski won the girls race with a time of 18:31.

The Hurricanes claimed five more spots in the top 10 with Elizabeth McClarin in second place in 18:45, Emma Haas in fourth place with a time of 21:10, and Lilah McClarin in fifth place with a time of 21:31.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Rio Stoudt placed sixth in 21:39.

Freedom’s Taylor Vidumsky took seventh place in 21:46, Liberty’s Kendall Terefinko was eighth in 21:51, Freedom’s Amelia Holden placed ninth in 22:09, and Liberty’s Sierra Schmoyer took 10th place in 22:14.

In team scores, Liberty’s girls beat Pleasant Valley, 18-45, East, 15-50, and West, 15-50.

Freedom’s girls defeated Pleasant Valley, 25-32, East, 15-50, and West, 15-50.

Bethlehem Catholic lost to Pleasant Valley, 15-50. No other team scores were reported for Becahi.
