Rose Marie Doney

of Emmaus

Rose Marie Doney, 82, of Emmaus, died Sept. 21, 2024, surrounded by her children. She was the wife of the late Richard Paul Doney for 38 years until his death in 1998. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Komenitsky) and John Oishko, of Allentown.

She was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

She loved to travel, try new things and play any number of games, especially jigsaw puzzles and word searches. She and her husband traveled across the country and to Puerto Rico and she accompanied the family on summer trips to amusement parks, Disney World and the beach. She enjoyed time at the cabin in Potter County. She enjoyed cheering for her grandkids and attending many of their sports games.

She adored her family, was a beloved friend and welcoming neighbor.

She extended herself to others as a volunteer for No One Dies Alone, embracing the value of human connection during hard times.

She was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by children, Jeffrey (Susan), Denise (Thomas) Luckey, John; grandchildren, Kimberly (Thomas) Olsen, Richard (Kelsey), Valerie Luckey, OSB, Nicholas (fiancée Amanda), Danielle; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Haley, Edward, Simon.

Contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.

A viewing will be held 9-11 a.m. Oct. 2 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus.

Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
