Leonard E. Petrie Jr., 63, of Northampton, died Sept. 21, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of Susan M. (Wingert) Petrie for 25 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Leonard E. Sr. and Dolores (Miller) Petrie.

He was a 1978 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School.

He served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during peacetime.

He was last employed as a concrete finisher for A.J. Trunzo, Bath, for three years. Earlier, he was a foreman for the former F.A. Rohrbach, Allentown, for eight years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Leonard E. III and fiancee Felicia Rompilla of Whitehall, Zachary A. and fiancee Cassandra Bekete of Northampton, Jordan of Thornton, Colo., Lee T. and fiancee Kristen Courter of Northampton and Wesley P. of Northampton; a stepson, Michael J. Kelley of Northampton; a brother, Dennis L. and wife Kathleen of Kutztown; and seven grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Pamela J. Jones.

Services will be private.
