John F. Hansen, 89, formerly of Emmaus, died Sept. 29, 2024, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center in Richlandtown. Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was the son of the late Walter and Anna (Lyons) Hansen.
He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Emmaus and was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.
He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J., with a degree in engineering. He was employed as a residential real estate agent for 20 years, last working at the Prudential office in Nazareth. He retired in 2005. He was previously employed as an electrical engineer for various companies.
He is survived by his sons, Scott C. and his wife, Joanne and Eric J. and his wife, Gina; granddaughters, Nicolette, Celia and Audrey. He is also survived by his former wife of 40 years, Barbara. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Orthner.
Services will be held noon Oct. 3 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
A viewing will be held 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 2 and 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 3 in the funeral home. Interment in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Cemetery in Allentown.
