Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

SEPT. 15

Officers investigated a report of retail theft in the 3200 block of MacArthur Road.

Police were on the scene of a disturbance in the 100 block of North Seventh Street.

Suspicious activity brought police to the 900 block of Oak Street.

During traffic stops in the borough, one driver was cited for driving with a suspended license at North Front and Hokendauqua streets and for speeding in the area of the Coplay-Northampton Bridge.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a possible DUI in the unit block of South Second Street.

SEPT. 16

Officers responded to a reported overdose in the 1000 block of Poplar Street.

SEPT. 17

A welfare check was conducted in the unit block of North Second Street.

During a motor vehicle accident in the 1100 block of Chestnut Street, a driver was taken into custody upon learning they are a wanted person.
