Grace Lutheran Church holds a weekly free food distribution 2-4 p.m. Also Oct. 9, 16, 23 and 30 for East Penn School District residents. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.

The Seed Farm’s Farm-to-Table Dinner is scheduled 4-7 p.m. in the farm’s greenhouse at sunset. Diners will enjoy a four-course dinner, cocktails and music performances. The Allentown Music Club will begin the 2024-2025 season 2 p.m. at The Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. The performers are Santa Peters, piano, Jeanne Harakal and Siobhan DeRemer, sopranos, Cindy Cicconi-Ernst, accordion, Karen El-Chaar and Rachel Holton, oboe and Linda Bolasky, bassoon.

St. John’s Lutheran Church 100th anniversary celebration starts with a traditional Sunday service, including a German part and hymns performed and offered at the very first St. John’s Church Service Oct. 5, 1924. After the service attendees will enjoy a fellowship organized by the stewardship committee that will include refreshments, baked goods, tours, photos and history of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus, over the last century.

Mopar Madness of the Lehigh Valley is scheduled to host a cruise night 3-6 p.m. in Emmaus Community Park, Shimerville Road, weather permitting. Also Oct. 26. All makes and models are welcome. Citizens Fire Company of Upper Milford Township will host its second annual Fire Prevention Week Open House 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the firehouse, 4093 Main Road West. The event will include a special appearance by Smokey Bear, fire prevention awareness information, food, beverages and more.
The Salisbury High School girls basketball team will host a cornhole tournament starting 1 p.m. at Taphouse & Eatery by McCall Collective, 7743 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville. Oct. 16
The Vera Cruz Community Association will host the annual Vera Cruz Halloween parade 7 p.m. Expected participants include the Emmaus High School marching band. DJ Cesar Rosado will announce the parade. The rain date is Oct. 17.
The Emmaus Historical Society’s monthly program will be held 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. The program is titled: “The ‘Corner’ Stores of Emmaus” presented by Andrew Kerstetter. Join them to reminisce about the neighborhood grocery stores of Emmaus. Hear a short history of each with photographs of the locations. The program is free to the public with refreshments served after the program.

The Emmaus Halloween Committee hosts the annual Emmaus Halloween Parade 7 p.m. The rain date is 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Visit the website www.emmausparade.com for details.
State rep. Milou Mackenzie, R-131st, will host a shredding event 10 a.m. to noon at Hope Valley Community Church, 501 Graber Alley, Red Hill. Constituents may shred up to four boxes or bags of documents per vehicle. Boxes should be approximately the size of a piece of carry-on luggage. The event is designed to assist with disposal of documents containing sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or banking information. The event is limited to homeowners.
The 131st District covers parts of Lehigh County including Lower Milford, Upper Milford and Upper Saucon townships, Salisbury Township’s Ward 03 [part, Division 01] and Coopersburg borough; Marlborough, Salford and Upper Hanover townships and East Greenville, Green Lane, Pennsburg and Red Hill boroughs in Montgomery County and Lower Saucon Township, Districts 01, 02, 04, 07 and 08 in Northampton County.
Fall craft and vendor sale at Church of the Good Shepherd UCC, 235 E. Penn Ave., Alburtis, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crafts, attic treasures, gift basket auction, baked goods, vendors, refreshments and lunch will be available.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will hold a clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon. Donations of unwanted clothing and household items may be brought to the auxiliary gym at Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St. A list of acceptable items is available on the website clothingdrive.net.
