Roughie Roundup: Field hockey falls to Bangor

In field hockey, Bangor knocked off Catty 1-0 on Monday.

Bangor’s goal was scored by Aubrie Labar.

Lizzy Bass made 10 saves for the Roughs in the loss.

Catty fell to Saucon Valley 2-0.

Goals were scored by Katryna Price, from Madi Kares, and by McKenzie Johnston, from Samantha Lanning.

The girls lost to Southern Lehigh 6-0.

Sisi Giannttasio and Lily Thode each scored twice. Piper Gluck and Kendall Stauffer also scored. Catty keeper Lizzy Bass made 13 saves.

The Catasauqua girls soccer team lost to Palisades 2-0.

Brooke Barna had 12 saves for the Roughs in the game. The contest was 1-0 in the first half and remained that way but the Rough Riders couldn’t tie it, and the Pirates would score with five minutes remaining.

Catty lost to Northern Lehigh 6-0.

The Bulldogs Katelynn Barthold scored three times with other goals coming from Stella Regan, Mikayla Gordon and Dekotah Barthold.

In boys soccer, Catasauqua lost to Northern Lehigh 5-1.

Catasauqua’s goal came from Osmar Ferre.

Northern Lehigh goals came from Kellen Baur, who scored twice. Ethan Moore had a goal and three assists. Other goals came from Logan Berfield, and Anthony Hanna.

In volleyball Lehighton defeated Catty 3-0, 25-8, 25-4, 25-12

In cross country, Avery Errico won a recent girls race. Errico is from Wilson and timed in at 19:21.41.

Catty was led by Uyen Ly, who finished 35th with a time of 25:23.72. Close behind were Kaylin Stewart, who was 47th with a time of 28:48.47. Ana Rodriguez took 50th with a time of 31:08.76.
