Lehigh County Office and Aging and Adult Services presented a program in the Zentz Center at Fellowship Community, Whitehall, recognizing senior citizens for their contributions to improving the quality of life in the county.
This year, 19 older adults were awarded the title of Unsung Hero.
Mark Kuster, 67, of Allentown, has spent much of his time supporting the Boys and Girls Club, which earned him an Unsung Hero award at the tribute ceremony on May 15
Recipients were chosen by friends, families and organizations for their talents during the past year.
The program was coordinated by Jessica Yaich, program analyst, Aging and Adult Services for Lehigh County.
Lehigh County Executive Phil Armstrong, JR Reed, Office of Aging and Adult Services, and Artur DiLoreto, former deputy director, Pa. Association of Area Agencies on Aging were the presenters at the Unsung Heroes Awards 2024.
