Marie A. Dietrich, 84, of Kempton, died Sept. 21, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the widow of Benjamin F. Dietrich, who died in 2014.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Blanche (Thompson) Balliet.

A 1958 graduate of Slatington High School, she was a nurse’s aide at Phoebe Home, Allentown, until retiring.

Before that, she was a sewing room supervisor for the former Adidas Shoe Co., Kutztown.

Her survivors include sons Dennis B. (Mary Jean) Dietrich and Randy L. (Karen) Dietrich, both of Kempton; daughter Audrey J. (Michael) Marich of Kempton; grandchildren Casey Hoffman, Benjamin Marich, Austin (Stephanie) Marich, Julie (Bradford) Byler, Haley (Kenneth) Pilat, and Jonathan Muller; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Linn Balliet.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sept. 26 in Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli.

Calling hour begins at 1 p.m.

Interment following funeral service in Jacob’s Union Cemetery, New Tripoli. The Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.
