William Marlin Imschweiler, 83, of Macungie, died Sept. 19, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Deborah B. (Wolf) Imschweiler for 48 years. Born in Tremont, he was the son of the late Marlin and Ruth (Herber) Imschweiler.
He earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University.
He began his teaching career in health and physical education at Emmaus High School from 1963 to 1970. He later was a professor at Kutztown University for many years, retiring in 1999.
At both Emmaus High School and Kutztown University, he started the swimming program.
He enjoyed traveling to his second home on Jekyll Island, Ga.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching college football and basketball, especially March Madness.
He was a member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Cub and the Macungie VFW.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tremont.
He is survived by his wife; son, Terry A. and his wife, Gwen Engler, of Shillington; daughter, Lisa Stauffer, of Macungie; granddaughter, Jessica Keyser, of Macungie; sister, Elizabeth Griffiths, of Tremont; niece and nephew; grandniece and grandnephew; beloved dog, Ruby Sue.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
