Emmaus borough was citing the property owner $1,000 a day if the site was not cleaned up and the attorney for the property owner responded. Numerous Realtors have inquired about the space but Emmaus Borough Manager Shane Pepe noted “communication is difficult” since the corporation is no longer in Lancaster and selling the property would be a corporate decision. Talk among Emmaus residents rumored a Dairy Queen was going to move into that space; however, Pepe was clear when he stated, “There is no Dairy Queen going in there.”
