Robert H. Deutsch Jr., of Whitehall, died Sept. 18, 2024, while a patient of The Gardens at Easton. He was the husband of Terry Deutsch for 48 years.

Born in Raabfidisch/Rabafuzes, Hungary, was the son of the late Robert and Maria (Mild) Deutsch.

After emigrating to the United States, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, even though he was not yet a citizen. During the Korean theater, he was sent to Okinawa, where he earned the rank of Sgt. 1st Class and obtained his citizenship.

He was a member of several Austrian/German social clubs in the Lehigh Valley.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Robyn; cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Emil; and three sisters, Gisela Winkler, Maria Heidenwolf and Berta Kiehstaller.

A memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family.
