At the Sept. 19 Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting, procedures for delinquent real estate taxes and municipal claims were discussed. Resolution 2024-44 was approved directing the Tax Claim Bureau to not collect delinquent real estate taxes for Lower Macungie Township.

Ordinance 2024-02 was approved which is the update of the liquid fuels map. Whenever there is a deletion or addition in the township, there must be a change to this map. This change allows for the extension of Sauerkraut Lane and the compost center.

Ordinance 2024-03, an update to the Solid Waste agreement, was approved. This adds definitions and clarifies requirements for storage and collection of municipal waste.
