105 years of age
Helen M. Troller, 105, died Sept. 19, 2024, at the Manor at Market Square, Reading. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Troller for 44 years.
Born in Girardville, she was a daughter of the late James and Irene (Haley) Rafferty.
During World War II, she worked at Vultee Aircraft Company, where she analyzed and interpreted blueprints for the U.S. Navy, contributing to the war effort. Later, she managed the Russell Stover Candies store, Allentown, for 20 years.
She was an active member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, for 75 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Seagreaves of Clayton, N.J., and Rosemarie Althouse with David of Reading; five grandchildren, Christopher Seagreaves with Janeen, Patrick Seagreaves with Catherine, Theresa Althouse, Jessica Floyd with David and James Althouse with Jaime; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Loretta McGinley; a son-in-law, Thomas Seagreaves; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Seagreaves Murray.
There will be a calling time 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., Sept. 28 at the church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall.
