Emma M. Szivos, 93, formerly of Coplay, died Sept. 18, 2024, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton.

Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Marton) Szivos.

She was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1948. She received a degree in nursing from Sacred Heart Nursing School.

She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital for more than 35 years.

She was a lifelong member of Queenship of Mary Church.

She is survived by four nephews, Frank and wife Kim, Thomas and wife Joan, Richard Farkas and wife Debra and Ronald Farkas and wife Peg; two nieces, Mary Ann Hammer and husband Lee and Margaret Kish and husband Joseph; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and a loyal childhood friend, Sarah Fox.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frank and wife Valeria; and a sister, Mary Farkas and husband John.
