Week 2

Blessed Trinity moved into a tie for 1st place with a sweep of Star of Bethlehem by scores of 3-2, 2-1, and 11-3. Leading hitters for Blessed Trinity were Norm Schoenberger 6-9 (HR), Dan Halteman 6-10, Tony DeAngeles 5-8 with HRs from Tim Heidelmark and Todd Jones. Scott Hoffert was 6-13, Jacob Hoffert 4-11 and Kyle Taylor 3-11 for Star of Bethlehem.

Farmersville beat Emmanuel 4-2 and 3-2, losing the opener 4-1 to remain in a tie for 1st place. Top hitters included Sue Grim 5-11, Mark Steigerwalt 4-9 and Kyle Campbell with a HR for Farmersville, while Al Nesbitt was 5-10 (HR), and Tom Dormida 4-12 for Emmanuel.

Also remaining in a tie for 1st place was St. Paul’s as they sandwiched 9-4 and 4-2 wins around a 4-2 loss to Ebenezer. Leading the way for St. Paul’s were Roger Kern 6-12, Jennifer Erkinger also 6-12, and Larry Kneller 5-11. For Ebenezer, Paul Yoder was 5-12, Joey Kish 4-10, and Carol Voortman 4-12.

Defending champs Dryland won 4-2 and 6-2 over Christ UCC, losing the nightcap 3-1. Butch Silfies was 7-12 (HR), with Larry Golick and Earl Sigley each going 5-12 for Dryland. Garry Hunsicker was 5-10 and Susie Gasper 3-8 for Christ UCC.

Week 1

As we start a new year , we find defending champ Dryland losing a pair of games to Farmersville 5-0 and 4-3 winning the 1st game 2-1. Leading the way for Farmersville were Gene Grim 5-13, Jason Steigerwalt 4-11(2 HRs), Dennis Koehler 4-12, and Mark Steigerwalt 3-8 (HR). For Dryland, Butch Silfies 6-11, Nate Phares 5-13 and Rich Durn with a HR.

After a 4-0 loss to Emmanuel, Ebenezer came back to win 2-1 and 2-1. Jim Voortman was 5-10 for Ebenezer while Tom Dormida was 4-11 (HR), Bob Bast 4-13, Troy Haydt also 4-13 with HRs from Jon Rice and Al Nesbitt for Emmanuel.

Christ UCC beat Blessed Trinity 6-5 and 3-2, losing the nightcap, 6-3. Top hitters for Christ UCC were Garry Hunsicker -12 and Ed Yost 3-8 (HR). Andy Mickelson went 4-8, ‘Buzz’ Heidecker 4-8 (HR), Tony DeAngeles 4-9 (HR), Ken Remaley 3-8 and Teryan Gehard hitting a grand slam.

St. Paul’s sandwiched 6-4 and 7-2 wins around a 6-2 loss to Star of Bethlehem. Rich Kern 6-13 (HR), Roger Kern 6-13, Jennifer Erkinger 5-13, and John Hoysan with a HR for St. Paul’s, while Kyle Taylor was 8-12, Walt Hoffert 6-12, and Tyler Franenfield with a HR for Star of Bethlehem
