Edward L. Seier, 86, of Cherryville, died Sept. 9, 2024, at home. He was the husband of Ardys (Freeman) for 64 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Stella (Grabner) Seier.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard as a sergeant.

He worked part time as a Lehigh County deputy sheriff. He began a career as a sales representative for Reynx Field Corporation and John Hancock Life Insurance. He then transitioned to a self-employed real estate agent and timeshare consultant, which he maintained for the last 30 years.

He was a life member of Allen Township Fire Company and a charter member of Woodstone Country Club. He was a past state representative, JC Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jeanine; a son-in-law, Glenn Race; five grandchildren, Daniel and wife Melinda, Michael and wife Shamarie, Robert and wife Nicole, Tara and fiance Justin and Justin and wife Veronica; five great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jack, Kase, Haley and Audrey; a brother, Ronald and wife Helen; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Debora Race; and two brothers, Stephen and Richard.

Services are private.
