Donna M. Hopper, 61, of Northampton, died Sept. 13, 2024. She was the wife of Martin R. Hopper for 35 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Dale R. and Joanne R. (Bokosky) Riedy.

She was a 1981 graduate of Northampton Area High School and a 1985 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in education.

She was a teacher at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Elementary School for 28 years and was honored to serve as principal for the last five years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jenna Hess with Zachary; a granddaughter, Meredith Joan Hess; a sister, Jennifer Shupp with Michael and their daughters Brittney and Courtney; two brothers, Dale Riedy with Mary and John Riedy with Cynthia; nieces; and nephews.

There will be a calling time 5-7 p.m. Sept. 20 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. There will be a viewing 9-9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., Sept. 21 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem. The family requests that you wear all shades of blue in her memory.

Contributions may be presented to Notre Dame of Bethlehem School, 1835 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, 18018, that will be applied to the Donna M. Hopper Memorial Fund.
