District News: Early dismissal Sept. 23 for teacher professional development
There will be an early dismissal for students, due to teacher professional development, Sept. 23.
Whitehall-Coplay Middle School will dismiss 12:30 p.m.
Whitehall High School dismisses 1 p.m.
Gockley, Steckel and Zephyr elementary schools dismiss 1:30 p.m.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to visit WHS 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 for back to school night.
It’s a great opportunity to meet teachers, become more familiar with your child’s building and more.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is hosting Stepping Stones, a grief care program for children and families, at no cost. The program offers a combination of education, arts, activities and support to help facilitate healthy grieving.
It will be available 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22, at the LVHN hospice offices on Lehigh Street in Allentown.

Zephyr Elementary will have its picture day Oct. 2. Students will bring home more information.
There is also a retake day scheduled that is to be announced.

WHS Class of 2025 is hosting a designer purse bingo Oct. 6 at the pavilion at Cementon Victor C. Talotta Park, 5185 Dewey St. Doors open noon; bingo starts 1 p.m.
The kitchen will be open. There will also be a basket raffle.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Proceeds will benefit senior class activities.
