Community voter registration drive at SHS Sept. 28

The Salisbury High School Key Club, advised by Mr. Frick, will host a community voter registration drive at the main entrance of the school 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 28.

The Salisbury Township School District is now accepting applications for nominees to this year’s induction to the Alumni Wall of Honor. Nominees must be a graduate of Salisbury Township School District and be at least 25 years old. The district is looking for alumni “who have distinguished themselves and contributed to society in an exemplary manner.”

Applications must be submitted to Superintendent Lynn Fuini-Hetten by Oct. 1. For more information, visit the school district website under Community.

Salisbury High School will invite parents and guardians in for open house 7-9 p.m. Sept. 19. Salisbury Middle School has open house 6:45-8:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

There is a lot of “beginning of the year” fundraising going on.

The SHS cross-country team is holding a fundraiser 4-8 p.m. Sept. 18 at Playa Bowls, Bethlehem. When you order, just let them know you are there to support Salisbury High School and 20% of your sales will help the cross-country team.

The SHS classes of 2025 and 2027 are selling hoagies from Thomson’s Meat Market. Order your hoagies by Sept. 25 by contacting kbutterbaugh@salisburysd.org. Hoagie pickup is 2:45-4:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the auxiliary gym. While you are ordering those hoagies, why not sign up to give blood and donate a pint when picking up the hoagies?

The SHS chapter of National Honor Society will hold a blood drive 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 2 in the auxiliary gym. Sign up at www.GIVEaPINT.org and use sponsor code 0490 or contact mbasile@salisburysd.org.

Yard waste drop-offs are open. The Franko site will be open Sept. 19, 21 and 30. Devonshire will be open Sept. 23, 26 and 28. As always, hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
