Susan J. Heckman, 57, of Bethlehem, died September 8, 2024, at her residence after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Eberwein and the late Kathleen (Gehringer) Eberwein Eichelberger. She was the wife of Rodney Heckman for 32 years.

She was a graduate of St. Luke’s School of Nursing.

She was a pediatric nurse at St. Luke’s for 30 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Nicole and fiancé Evan, Sarah and husband Pasquale and Brian Heckman; two grandchildren, Elaina and Jack; three siblings, Michael Eberwein and wife Nanette, David Eberwein and partner John and Andrew Eberwein and wife Vicki; six step-siblings, David Eichelberger, Craig Eichelberger and wife Lisa, Scott Eichelberger and wife Tracy, Vicki Zeppa, Linda Fischl and husband Paul and Penny Sergent and husband Arthur.

She was predeceased by her mother’s husband Fritz; and grandparents, Elsie Posch and husband, Eddie.
