With the beginning of school, comes picture day! Salisbury Elementary School will have picture day Sept. 16, followed by Salisbury High School Sept. 17.

The SES PTO will host a dinner 6 p.m. Sept. 12 followed by the first PTO meeting of the year. Come out and find out some of the amazing things planned for this year and how you can help. Childcare is provided for children 4 and older.

SHS will hold its back-to-school night 7-9 p.m. Sept. 19. Salisbury Middle School will hold its back-to-school open house 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company will host a community dedication ceremony for the new firehouse, 955 S. Ott St., 11 a.m. Sept. 28. There will be food trucks, a raffle and much more. This new station is a long time in the making and let’s support them with their new home.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will hold a clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 2. Drop off your unwanted clothing and other household items at the SHS auxiliary gym and help the booster club. A list of items accepted is available on clothingdrive.net. The truck will pick up donations between noon and 1 p.m.

The township yard waste drop off sites are open. The Devonshire site will be open Sept. 12 and 14 and the Franko site will be open Sept. 16, 19 and 21. The sites are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
