Eric Jin was awarded the 2024 Parkland Garden Club scholarship at the Aug. 12 meeting of the club.

The son of Drs. Bo and Fang Jin, Eric recently graduated from Parkland High School where he was a member of the National Math Honor Society, as well as the National Science Society.

An outstanding student, he was on the principal’s list for seven semesters and involved in many other activities including tutoring students.

He founded an organization called Exploring Art and volunteered at St Luke’s Acute Rehab Center. Eric is attending Boston University studying environmental engineering.

The scholarship was presented by Sue Weber, scholarship chairwoman.
