For the second consecutive season the Salisbury girls tennis team is battling through the 2024 season without enough players to fill a line up.
But that hasn’t stopped the three players on the team from striving for success in their individual matches.
Last week Falcon No. 2 singles player Kacie Kaugh picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win over Jim Thorpe’s Chloe Tantala in a Colonial League match.
Kaugh earned a hard-fought win against Pen Argyl’s Madeleine Blasi on Sug. 27, winning her match 6-4, 6-1, 10-7.
Salisbury had two winners in an Aug. 22 match against Wilson.
Jaylene Vasquez won her No. 1 singles match in three sets, 6-4, 0-6, 7-5, while Kaugh won 6-0, 6-0 over Gabrielle Bleice.
