The Emmaus girls tennis team started the season with five straight wins including two shut outs.
The Hornets’ most recent win came Monday against Pocono Mountain West, 7-0.
Sophia Kaufman, Ashlyn Phy and Ava Grace Saab won singles matches, while the doubles teams of Melena Stetz and Gab Tranguch, Brooke DiGiacomo and Nat Hillegass, and Kylie Gleason and Anshi Kanani won doubles matches for Emmaus.
In a 5-2 nonleague win over Southern Lehigh last week, Phy won her singles match, while Tranguch/Stetz, DiGiacomo/Hillegas and Kanani/Gleason won doubles matches.
Emmaus beat Northampton 6-1 last Friday. Kaufman, Phy and Saab won singles matches. In doubles matches, Tranguch/Stetz, DiGiacomo/Hillegas and Kanani/Gleason all won in straight sets.
The Hornets shut out Bethlehem Catholic 7-0 on Aug. 21. Kaufman, Phy and Saab won singles matches, while Tranguch/Stetz, DiGiacomo/Hillegas, Kanani/Gleason and Dani Balik/Katy Kapp won doubles matches.
The Hornets opened the season on Aug. 19 with a 6-1 win over Easton.
