Thomas E. Donovan

Thomas E. Donovan, 86, of Macungie, died peacefully, Sept. 3, 2024. He was the husband of Elizabeth Donovan for 62 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Patrick Donovan and Margaret (MacGregor) Graham and stepson of the late James R. Graham.

After graduating from West Catholic High School, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps reserve for eight years with his brother.

He worked at Gulf Oil for more than 30 years before working for Farm Home and Oil, then worked for Keystone Fuels until his retirement.

He was a founding member of Ancient Oak Sports Association, now East Penn Sports Association.

He was a lifelong member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was an avid Eagles fan and loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

He enjoyed family time in Ocean City.

He is survived by his wife; children, Thomas B. and his companion, Kirsten; Colleen and her husband, Gregory Scharf, William and his wife, Maria; grandchildren, Michael and his fiancee, Maria, Matthew and his fiancee, Kate, Megan, Thomas, Nicholas, Colin, William, Braedyn; sister, Peg and her husband, Greg Calogero; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John “Jack”; daughter-in-law, Kathryn.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the National Autism Association.

Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. Sept. 11 until the Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., all at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown.

Arrangements were made by the Weber Funeral Homes, P.C., Allentown.
