Sheckler Elementary School has announced a new effort called the Peaceful School Bus program. This program is for students who use the school bus and aims to assist with behavior problems during bus rides.

The initiative will welcome new meetings during school hours where students who ride the same bus will gather to meet one another, promoting a friendly environment and eliminating bullying. Bus drivers will also attend the meeting when available.

Sheckler Elementary will have an early dismissal Sept. 18.

Students will be dismissed 1:30 p.m.

Meet-the-teacher night is set for Sept. 19. The school will offer two sessions: 6:10-6:40 p.m. and 6:40-7:20 p.m.

Smile! Sheckler’s picture day will be Sept. 24.
