Ruth Eilene Davies Papagni, 86, of Country Meadows Retirement Community, Bethlehem Township; and previously of Katonah, N.Y. and New Bern, N.C.; died Sept. 4, 2024. She was born in Danville. She was the wife of the late Louis (Gene) Papagni for 54 years.

She earned a college degree and was a registered nurse.

She was a school nurse at John Jay Junior H.S., Cross River, New York.

She helped establish and was a long serving member of the New Bern Rhems Fire and Rescue Volunteer First Responders Unit.

She was the mother of several children, including a son, Lawrence (Jean); two daughters, Cara and Tess of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; Daniel (Melinda); sons John and Matthew of Sea Girt, New Jersey; Christopher; Demetrio, daughters Angelina and Seraphina of Bethlehem; and Michael (Kirsten) of North Andover, Massachusetts.
