Margaret A. Furst, 89, of Allentown, died Sept. 5, 2024. She was the wife of the late Gerald I. Furst for 48 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Anna (Uhl) Eddinger.

She worked in the dietary department at Allentown State Hospital.

She was a foster parent for many children.

She is survived by three children, Robert and wife Judy, Timothy and wife Brenda and Dawn and husband Dennis Lutz; a sister, Mary Jane and husband Don Stauffer; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Melody Mercado and son, Jack; a sister, Nancy Dunbar; a daughter-in-law, Rita; and a great-grandchild, Gabriella.
