Joanne P. Hartman

of Alburtis

Joanne P. Hartman, 70, of Alburtis, died peacefully Aug. 31, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, lovingly supported by family through her fast and furious battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Hartman who died in 2018. Born in Bryn Mawr, she was one of 10 children.

She worked for National Energy Improvement Fund, Allentown and loved her job and colleagues.

In her spare time she loved gardening, spending time with her family, watching Hallmark movies (especially of the holiday variety) and partaking in long chats over a cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine.

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wife. She was always kind, always gentle and knew just what to say to make everything OK.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Moccia and her husband, Kyle, of Knoxville, Tenn.; son, Michael and his wife, Jingwen, of Hazlet, N.J.; brothers, Edward McIlmoyle, of Denver, William McIlmoyle, of Landenberg; sisters, Eleanor Weber, of Williamsburg, Va., Deborah Donaghy, of Shawnee, Kan.; grandchildren, Miles, Alexander, Lily, Leiya. She was predeceased by a brother, David McIlmoyle, of West Chester; sisters, Peggy Resnick, of Millsboro, Del., Mickey DeFeo, of Mays Landing, N.J., Janet Whisner, of Dillsburg, Kay White, of Mocksville, N.C.

A visitation will be held 11 a.m. to noon followed by a service Sept. 27 at Faith Free Church, 6528 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown.

Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.

None
