George M. Howard

member, St. John’s U.C.C.

George M. Howard, 75, of Emmaus, died Sept. 3, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Holly A. Howard for 41 years. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late George M. Howard Sr. and Mary Pauline (Cooper) Howard.

He graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School West in 1967. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and one year toward his master’s degree from Rutgers University.

He worked as a plant manager for the former Container Corporation of America, Georgia Pacific and Green Bay Packaging. After retirement, he was a substitute teacher.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

He loved to play golf, volunteer and help out those in need.

He is survived by his wife; son, Brian George and his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Samantha Ann and her partner, Andrew, Beth Noel and her husband, Ryan; five grandchildren; sister, Marianne Stackpole (Al); brothers, Stephen (Linda), Dr. Todd K. (Kathy). He was predeceased by a daughter, Cara Ann.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or AstraZeneca Hope Lodge, 110 W. Laurel Ave., Cheltenham, 19012.
