District News: Girls on the Run underway
Zephyr Elementary School will be offering the Girls on the Run program 3:15-4:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. The program, which started Sept. 10, will culminate with a 5-K event Dec. 8 at DeSales University.

Parents/guardians are welcome to visit Whitehall High School 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 for back to school night. It’s a great opportunity to meet teachers, become more familiar with your child’s building and more.

WHS Class of 2025 is hosting a designer purse bingo Oct. 6 at the pavilion at Cementon Victor C. Talotta Park, 5185 Dewey St. Doors open noon; bingo starts 1 p.m.
The kitchen will be open. There will also be a basket raffle.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Proceeds will benefit senior class activities.

Does your Zephyr Elementary child love to read? Does he or she love competition? Then the Reading Olympics is perfect!
School librarian Ms. Matejcek is looking for a group of readers to lead this team, which will meet Thursdays after school in preparation for a regional competition in the spring.

Senior class dues have been posted to MySchoolBucks. Each senior is responsible for his or her dues to cover all the general senior class activities throughout the school year.
Seniors will not be permitted to attend graduation or purchase prom tickets without paying the dues.

Remember to update the parent portal. Be sure to update annual communication forms to ensure you continue to receive the proper communication throughout the year.
Parents/guardians are also now able to log into the portal to view student schedules and information.

Reminder of Gockley Elementary School drop-off and pickup procedures: Pull all the way up when parked in the car lane so that as many vehicles as possible can fit. If your child needs extra time to buckle themselves into a seat, you may pull forward to the area beyond the car line to assist them.
The goal is to keep the line of vehicles moving efficiently.

To protect against accidental damage of student Chromebooks, Whitehall-Coplay School District will offer a $15 voluntary technology fee for the 2024-25 academic year. The window to pay the technology fee is open through Sept. 16.
The coverage period runs from the date of payment to June 30, 2025. The technology fee may be paid online using MySchoolBucks or by making a cash payment in the main office.
