Coplay Public Library: Sign up for, renew your Coplay Public Library card this month
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month.
It only takes a few minutes to get a library card. All you need is a form of ID, like a driver’s license. Library cards are free and may be used at 12 libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.
If you already have a library card, stop in and renew your card during the month.

Free movie Saturdays are back at Coplay Public Library! All movies start 11 a.m.
The movie schedule includes “School of Rock” Sept. 14, “Shark School: Sea Turtles” and “A Turtle’s Tale” Sept. 21 and “High School Musical 2 — Extended Cut” Sept. 28.
Don’t forget to bring your snacks!

SMP Cheesesteaks is coming. The minimart’s food truck will be at Coplay Parkway 2-7 p.m. Sept. 17.
Drinks and baked goods will also be available for purchase.

Preschool storytime and craft will be held Sept. 20. Preregistration is not required.

The fall book and bake sale and basket raffle will be 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5.
The library is now accepting donations of books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles. Call the library if you are interested in donating baked goods.
For your safety, drop off donations at the circulation desk during open hours. No donations will be accepted the days of the sale.

Shopping passes for Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends fundraising event are here. Passes cost $5, and 100% of this donation goes to the library.
Enjoy a discount on your in-store purchases 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 22 and have a chance to win a Boscov’s gift card.

Teens and adults, the Fiber Arts and Friends group meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Learn to crochet, knit and more. All skill levels are welcome!
Bring your current project or start a new one. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use.

Look for them on the shelves below the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask at the desk if you need assistance.

We have copies of the Coplay newsletter. Published monthly by the borough of Coplay, the newsletter contains information such as the community calendar, contact phone numbers and email addresses for borough departments and officials, borough organizations and more.
The newsletter is a valuable resource for all residents, especially if you are new to the area.

Need to use a computer to search for information or print something? We have six public access computers for you to use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.

Use the silver drop box for returning books or media items at the front of the library when the building is closed.

There is a purple drop box at the front of the library for the Lions Club. The group accepts hearing aids and old glasses.

If you can’t make it into the library, use the Libby app for thousands of free reading materials. You’ll need your library card number and your PIN.

The library is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
