Allen J. Weiss, 75, of Simpsonville, S.C., formerly of East Allen Township, died Aug. 29, 2024, at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community, Laurens, S.C. He was the husband of Bernice F. (Creyer) Weiss for 50 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Byron A. and Eleanore E. (Fenstermacher) Weiss.

He was a 1967 graduate of Northampton High School.

He served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He was last employed as a test technician for Mack Trucks Test Center, Allentown, for 30 years before retiring in 2007.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffery A. of California and Michael S. and wife Laura of Mauldin, S.C.; two granddaughters, Molly and Zoey; and a sister, Sharon Heck of Wescosville.
