Roughie Roundup: Harriers keeping busy
Cross country
The Catty cross country teams took part in this past weekend’s Northampton Invitational.
Evan Reed took 80th in the A/AA race to lead the way. He had a time of 19:52.4. Shakala Roberts was 109th for the girls as their top finisher. She finished in 27:30.7.
Wilson’s Avery Errico won the A/AA girls race with a time of 19:07.3.
On the boys side, Ryan Hughes took the top spot representing Frankfort. He had a winning time of 15:27.10 in the A/AA race.

Catty cross country took part in a meet last week at Southern Lehigh.
The girls lost to Southern Lehigh 15-50 and Northwestern 15-50.
Avery Errico of Wilson was the overall winner with a time of 18:44.0.
For Catty, Shakala Roberts led the Roughs with a 38th place finish and a time of 25:22.10.
The boys race was won by Jeffery Sunderlin of Wilson in a time of 16:19.8.
Catty was led by Evan Reed who took 21st with a time of 18:42.5.

Volleyball
The Catty volleyball team dropped a recent match to Northwestern.
They fell to Tigers, 3-0.
Kara Gruver had an ace. Makayla Bird had 3 aces, 3 kills, 1 block and 8 digs.
Amber Faust added 2 kills and 3 digs while Madison Monberger chipped in with 3 aces, 2 kills, 6 assists and 8 digs. Kayla Davis had 8 digs.
For the Tigers, Norah Silfies had 9 kills and 2 blocks with Shannon Green adding 22 assists and 4 digs. Elsye Browning had 6 kills.
Soccer
The boys soccer team fell to Jim Thorpe 2-1.
Jim Thorpe goals came from Connor Holland and Blaze Flyzk. Catasauqua’s goal was scored by Osmar Ferre.
