Liberty’s basketball team was hit by the transfer bug again, as Blake Hargrove, their leading scorer from last year is transferring to the Hun School in Princeton. Hargrove, who led the Hurricanes with 15.6 points a game last season, is also reclassifying as a member of the 2027 class.
In his two seasons at Liberty as a freshman and sophomore, Hargrove scored 728 career-points and helped lead the Hurricanes to the District 11 6A finals, where they were runner-up, and the PIAA state tournament.
It’s the second straight year Liberty lost one of their best players, as Dwayne Chess transferred to St. George’s in Rhode Island last year.
