An Allentown man faces burglary charges after he allegedly removed a tool from a residence in a daytime burglary Aug. 20.

In a news release dated Aug. 27, the Salisbury Township Police Department announced the arrest of 68-year-old Jose Martinez.

According to court documents, Martinez, unable to post bail, was taken to Lehigh County Jail.

Authorities charged Martinez with alleged burglary, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

The news release detailed the incident as follows: At approximately 12:38 p.m. Aug. 20, Diaz allegedly entered a residence and removed a DeWalt miter saw, valued at $805, from the garage at the residence in the 800 block of East Juniata Street.

Allentown police assisted in the investigation.
