Northampton: Historical program planned for Sept. 7
Northampton Area Historical Society will present a program 10 a.m. Sept. 7 at the borough municipal building, 1401 Laubach Ave. Larry Oberly, historical society vice president, will present a history of one-room schoolhouses in Northampton Area School District.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet Sept. 11 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors will open 11 a.m.
Members, bring your membership cards. Dues for 2025 will be collected. No dues will be collected at the Christmas party.

The 35th annual Uptown Northampton Street Fair starts 11 a.m. Sept. 14. Come out and see the unique goods offered for purchase from local merchants and craft vendors while you listen to music from area musicians and live bands.
There will be plenty of activities and demonstrations for the kids, not to mention food trucks and adult beverage selections for the grown-ups.

Grace United Church of Christ is having a hoagie and sandwich sale. The hoagies are Italian or tuna, and the sandwiches are ham and cheese or tuna.
Orders and payment are due by Sept. 15. Order forms can be picked up 9 a.m.-1 p.m. weekdays in the church office or downloaded on the church website at graceuccchurch.com.
The pickup date is 4-6 p.m. Sept. 18 at the church, 902 Lincoln Ave.

Northampton Area Public Library is currently accepting donations for its annual autumn online auction and basket social. If you would like to donate, bring your items to the library by Sept. 21.
The online auction will be Sept. 29-Oct. 5, and the basket social is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 11.
