Bath: Borough yard sale planned for Sept. 7

Bath Borough is holding a communitywide yard sale 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept 7. Yard sale permit fees are waived for this day.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is starting a new Bible study 7 p.m. Sept. 9 in the newly refurbished parlor. Participants will be using Max Lucado’s study guide.

Bath Area Food Bank will next distribute food 9:30 a.m. Sept. 10 on the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St.

Christ United Church of Christ, 109 S. Chestnut St., will hold a takeout ham and string bean dinner 4-6 p.m. Sept. 14. The menu includes ham, potatoes, string beans and a dinner roll, with your choice of applesauce or coleslaw and cherry or pumpkin pie slice.

The order deadline is Sept. 7.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran continues to hold yoga classes 5:30 p.m. Mondays in the fellowship hall. Bring a yoga mat or towel, and wear comfortable clothes.

There is a cost, and you pay as you go.

Emmanuel’s will help Bath Area Food Bank by collecting canned tuna or chicken. There is a special need for canned string beans, canned corn, chicken noodle soup and peanut butter.

Donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the bins in the fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.

The food bank is always in need of monetary donations, and A-Hart’s gift cards are needed for emergencies. Bring all gift cards in an envelope marked “food bank” to the church office.

Iglesia Pentecostal Church Food Bank, 2459 E. Scenic Drive, is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. to the public every first and third Monday.
