AM Radio Tribute Band to perform at Franko Park Sept. 14

Well, we made it through the first week of school. How is everyone holding up? I will admit, I miss my long mornings with a cup of coffee and relaxing.
The open house at Salisbury Elementary School will be held 7-8:15 p.m. Sept. 5. This is for first through fourth grade parents and guardians.
Picture day for Salisbury Middle School will be Sept. 6.
The SES PTO will have a dinner 6 p.m. Sept. 12, followed by the first meeting of the year 6:30 p.m. Childcare will be provided for children ages 4 and up. Find out what great things the PTO has planned this year for students and staff and if you are interested, what ways you can be involved.
On Sept. 18, there will be a curriculum and technology committee meeting 7 p.m., immediately followed by a school board meeting 8 p.m. in the district administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road, Allentown.
The St. Luke’s Sports Center is now accepting fall registrations for rookie sports camps. Open to boys and girls ages 2-7, the camps run Sept. 14 through Oct. 20. Their goal is “to introduce the basic concepts of sports in a fun environment.” Fall sports include soccer, football, T-ball and lacrosse. For more information, visit www.stLukesSportsCenter.com.
Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will be returning to the 9:45 a.m. worship service time Sept. 8. They will host a concert of The Pioneer Band 1 p.m. Sept. 15. This will be held in the grove, weather permitting, or in the sanctuary if it rains. Come enjoy some ice cream and door prizes.
AM Radio Tribute Band will perform at Franko Park 3-6:30 p.m. Sept. 14. They will play all your favorites from the 60s and 70s and its free. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy.
Yard waste drop-offs are open. The Franko site will be open Sept. 5, 7 and 16. Devonshire will be open Sept. 9, 12 and 14. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
