Paul J. Tanzosh Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church founding member

Paul J. Tanzosh, 90, of Bethlehem, died August 21, 2024, at Kirkland Village. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Fedorak) Tanzosh. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Mathias and Lucy (Sagmeister) Tanzosh.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was proud to have his Hometown Hero Banner flying on his childhood street, Washington Avenue, Northampton.

He worked for the former Globe-Times Newspaper, Bethlehem. He then worked for the Morning Call newspaper, Allentown, for 33 years. He was, upon retiring in 1995, the superintendent of production.

He was a founding lifetime member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church. He was an active member of the church’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, Serra Club and food bank.

He was a founding member of the Hanover Township Lions Club, volunteered at the soup kitchen in Allentown, and was active in the Lehigh County Meals on Wheels. He was a starter at Whitetail Golf Course, Bath, from 1996 to 2020.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary (Nancy Stacer) Tanzosh of Sarasota, Florida, and Christine (Peter) Tiano of Hatboro; a sister, Florence Jurasits of Northampton; two grandchildren, Christopher P. (Elizabeth) Tiano and Peter J. Tiano; a stepgranddaughter, Colleen (Tyler) Hernandez; and a stepgreat-granddaughter, Collins Hernandez.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Joseph, Mathias, Mary Finelli and Loretta Roth.
